During the strategy phase, we identified a unique position in their industry. While competitors focus on employee monitoring (bad), they wanted to be a tool that helps employees work better when they’re remote (good). Anti-monitoring is a unique standpoint in that industry, and we sought to deliver a brand and product strategy that put everyday employees right at the centre of the product’s value.
We created branding and language that brought humanity back into remote work (i.e. people still write things down and use sticky notes, but that’s hard to do in a digital environment). As a crucial first step, we delivered a website that unpacked the industry problem, their standpoint and proposed solution—which allowed them to successfully raise money.
Following the website, we delivered a basic design system for their product with the goal of helping their development team create a cohesively branded experience, while minimizing front-end development costs.
